My art is a blend of photography and digital Manipulation. Drawing on influences from all aspects of modern life, from the tranquillity of a beach paradise to the energy of the urban metropolis.

Pushing the limits of modern technology together with those of our imagination allows us to turn the mundane of everyday life into something quite spectacular. And similarly enhance that which is already visually striking.

Richard Alton

As soon as I saw my first black and white print, emerging in its tray of developer, I was hooked. Nearly twenty years later, I still love black and white photography, with all the fine shades of grey in between.

Nowadays, I specialise in gentle, often humorous images of domestic animals – mainly cats and dogs, with the odd goat thrown in. I hope that my photographs make viewers pause and smile.
